Emancipation Proclamation as a Tipping Point

" Without slavery, the rebellion could do not have existed. With out slavery, it might not continue” (Lincoln). The Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 marked one of the most decisive parts of the Detrimental War, associated with American record as a whole. While using stroke of his pen, Lincoln extended the power of the chief executive, redefined the Unions desired goals in the civil war, and fortified the Republicans meaning base and prominence for a long time to arrive, while rekindling morale intended for the Union soldiers. Tough luck years before, the questionable Fugitive-Slave rules was approved as part of the Compromise of 1850.
